Jeffrey T. Larson

 

Jeffrey T. Larson was born in 1962 in Two Harbors, Minnesota and grew up in the Twin Cities.  Larson was educated at the University of Minnesota.  He received his classical training with Richard Lack at Atelier Lack, Minneapolis.  He followed his four-year training with museum study in the United States and abroad.


Jeffrey has been featured as a cover story artist in the February 2004 issue of American Artist magazine and also in the 2001 issue of the Classical Realism Journal.  Larson  taught traditional technique at Atelier Lack, Minneapolis, MN 1983-1985.  He was the Assistant Director and Head Instructor of advanced students in the full-time program at Atelier LeSuer, Excelsior, MN 1984-1986.  Jeffrey currently teaches and gives seminars on traditional oil painting techniques throughout the United States.  Larson has had nineteen solo exhibitions and has been a participant in several group and traveling shows throughout the Midwest and East Coast including New York, Philadelphia, Boston and Cape Cod.
