With summer finally here, we have lots of exciting things going on in the gallery, and new paintings arriving every day. We have included a small sample below, but be sure to visit the artist pages on our website, or stop by the gallery to see the ever-changing selection.

We will be hosting artist openings each Saturday from 5-7 pm, and hope to see all of you in the coming weeks.

Celebrated National Awards:

 

Joseph McGurl won the Alden Bryan Award of Excellence in Landscape Painting while Sam Vokey received the Edmund Tarbell Award, both given by The Guild of Boston Artists, Members' Annual Awards Juried Exhibition, 2009.

A new biography on the career of Robert Vickrey has recently been published: The Magic of Realism, by Dr. Philip Eliasoph. This 224 page, 170 color plate volume is now available for sale at Tree's Place. Please call for details.

Jeffrey T. Larson is the 2008 winner of the 25th Annual National Still Life Competition from The Artist's Magazine, Daniel E. Greene Juror.
