Educated at Smith College and Tulane University, Mumford taught art in Indiana and Hawaii before moving to Cape Cod, where she currently resides and maintains her studio. She has been featured in articles in The Review magazine, Cape Cod Life magazine, and Cape Cod Antiques and Arts.
