Walter Baranowski received his master's
degree in Landscape Architecture at the University of Massachusetts, and
has pursued additional studies at Harvard University's Graduate School
of Design, specifically in interior plantscape design.
Baranowski incorporates natural materials,
specifically sun-bleached driftwood, beach-grass caning, and shell and
bone ornamentation into chairs, tables, clocks, and other functional
art. His Tide Homage series includes tide clocks and features
moon-snails placed in orientation to the phases of the moon. In addition to his work as an artist, Baranowski is a Registered Landscape Architect and a horticulturist. He has been with the firm of Brown, Richardson & Rowe in Boston since December of 1993. |
