Walter Baranowski

Walter Baranowski received his master's degree in Landscape Architecture at the University of Massachusetts, and has pursued additional studies at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, specifically in interior plantscape design.

Baranowski incorporates natural materials, specifically sun-bleached driftwood, beach-grass caning, and shell and bone ornamentation into chairs, tables, clocks, and other functional art. His Tide Homage series includes tide clocks and features moon-snails placed in orientation to the phases of the moon.

In addition to his work as an artist, Baranowski is a Registered Landscape Architect and a horticulturist. He has been with the firm of Brown, Richardson & Rowe in Boston since December of 1993.
